The Mercedes-Benz Generation 1 key is unlike other car keys as it uses advanced infra-red and radio frequency technology to communicate with the security system in your vehicle via a unique rolling code system. One downside to this advanced technology is that it can easily be damaged if dropped or comes in contact with liquid, in fact almost every Mercedes key we repair is damaged by impact or liquid coming into contact with the sensitive circuitry inside the key, often liquid enters through wear and tear cracks on the surface of the key buttons. We have designed a specialised key analyzer which can simulate your vehicles security system and read information transmitted and received by your key. This allows us to repair most faults and provide a 1 year warranty.

Key repair cost $125 Inc GST for all Mercedes key electronic repairs.
Please contact us if your key stopped turning in the ignition and the central locking stopped functioning at the exact same time as we may require you to send us you EIS for this repair.
We are also able to program additional keys to most Mercedes-Benz vehicles from between 1998 to 2013 at a discount of up to 50% the price of a new key from Mercedes-Benz. For this service we require either your vehicle at our workshop in Brookvale or for you to send us your EIS (ignition switch) and one working key if available.
